Viva la France!

The 6th meeting of Comenius Project ‘Wake – up, Shake - up’ was held in France
(27.01.-31.01.). Seven countries (France, Estonia, England, Lithuania, Poland, Turkey and Spain) met together (unfortunately, Romanians were absent) and did different activities, held discussions, visited historical sights and, certainly, communicated a lot in English and other languages.

The school Saint Jean et La Croix prepared a wonderful concert with songs, dances, presents and performances. Everybody enjoyed it very much.  The song ‘Oh, Champs Elysees’ united all the participants, and it was sung by them many times during the visit. While the teachers were getting acquainted with the school educational system and traditions, the pupils of seven countries took part in culinary competitions, where they had an opportunity to show their cooking talents.
While being in France both teachers and students visited a lot of historical sights, like Quentin De La Tour Museum, Folk Museum, St-Quentin Basilica and City Hall, Paris National Assembly and Notre Dame Cathedral. Undoubtedly, the trip to Paris was the most striking and memorable.
Besides learning French history, there were also organized entertaining activities, like basketball match, bowling and dance show. The first one was so emotional that nobody could stay indifferent and calm.
France showed itself as a country where traditional and conservative things are in harmony with modernity.

Thank you, France, for your hospitality!
